BN21 - A Touch Of Citrus

It’s bone-chillingly cold here.

The sky is grey and slabs of wet sleet are being hurled at the windows.

A bit of colour has been added by JJ’s home-grown slices of lemon floating in my water glass - a welcome reminder of summer and flash of colour in the gloom.

BN20 - Martin Scorsese's laugh

Martin Scorsese is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. He made Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino. The man is a genius.

I have been watching “Pretend it’s a city” [Paywall] on Netflix - a documentary about his friend Fran Lebowitz. Fran is a firecracker, and I loved every minute of her being on screen. She’s whip-smart and her humour is brutal, sharp, cruel and true.

She is a marvel, but the sound of the “genius” Scorsese’s giggles and belly laughs when his friend shares her stories was epic.
